2Tim 1 v2 -
... my beloved son:
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Paul is not a cold person lack affection. He loves his disciples to the extend as to mention it in his public letters.

He writes as a father cares for his son. Other disciples/sons are also thought of and are cared for through instruction to be passed down through Timothy his son.

Blessings are normally imparted by a superior (such as a father) to the inferior (such as sons and grandsons and servants).

Instructions are not without affection, expression of love.

Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

The peace of God, His totality, His completion is not without grace and mercy. Yet it is mentioned here, so that the readers are reminded of them.

Paul is making things clearer than just clear. Very obvious indeed!

The Holy Spirit is not mentioned here as He is the teacher; the interpreter. We just do not understand, except that we are taught throuhg the Holy Spirit. He is there in (because of) our understanding.

Paul uses a blessing instead of a greeting to emphasise his affection and care. To remind readers of the goodness of God via rememorance.

We tend to forget; and are grateful of reminders.

This letter also tells us that the instruction of the Word of God comes to us in Grace, mercy and peace from God.

Without Grace, there is no light, no revelation, and no peace.

We did not receive mercy if God is not Gracious. One justly lead to another. One thought of God should also lead to another. One thanksgiving leading to another.

Our hearts are supported again and again by the expressed grace of God, and His peace reconfirmed again and again.

In grace God revealed Himself (2Tim1v10) and His mysteries that His creation may know Him.

In mercy Christ abolish death (2Tim1v10), through the Gospel. The Good News, therefore, has power over death. It contains the saving grace of God through Christ. There is a lot to preach about, and to live for with praises upon praises.

The Gospel is about peace of God brought about via the sufferings of Christ and His disciples, His elect.

Forgiveness is not automatic and free. There is the demand of God; a just requirement.
There is no forgiveness without repentance. But Christ has given this way by which the elect must be saved.

There is certainty in the plan of redemption.

Paul expressed that he was what he was by the will of God, and Timothy is his beloved son. And Grace, mercy and peace are from God.

This is not a matter of "may be".

Our assurance is in the Gospel which is in Christ. Whoever look up to the cross of Christ and rely on its merit shall be saved. There is no other way.

Christ is the Way, the Truth, the Life and the Resurrection. He is therefore, grace, mercy and peace from God.

Ever wonder how fast the Gospel should be preached to its very end?

Right from the beginning of the preaching.

There is the urgency, the need, the care, the overflowing grace of God to preach the Good News as fast as words allow.

Never can we be faster than the Holy Spirit. So, do you want to run the race? Do you want to win the price?

Condition yourselves that you will not be amissed.
