Chinese New Testament Bible
from during Cultural Revolution

Book/Letter of James

This Bible is one of the 1 thousand printed copies made by a Chinese Christian in private at the beginning of the Cultural Revolution. One copy accidentally fell into the hands of Communists and a search was made to expose him. He was later caught while printing Bible, and was executed. Upon execution, he was filled with joy(unlike many who were shot/killed at that time). His face shone. Some who saw his face shining knelt down and accepted Christ with verbal confession. The Communists at the scene were perplexed, asking whether they fear death as this Christian(as anti-revolutionist) was just executed. The reply is that seeing his witness and his face shone, they were convinced that what he believed is true. They too wanted to have this faith/belief.
This brother died as a witness for Christ.
