Joy

Is Charismatic JOY unChristian or unScriptural?

"'Tis when we taste Thy love,

Our joys divinely grow,

Unspeakable like those above,

And heaven begins below."

Charles H. Spurgeon

It does seem that the manifestations of joy and laughter has greatly declined or ceased throughout most of the world. But there are good things happening and these teachings need good teaching on the reason we have the Holy Spirit, especially power, evangelism and most important, fruit and character.

Beloved,I am writing this letter with an outflow of joy from heaven.

For some time now,I have been praying that God should lead me through the Holy Spirit to Christian websites that promotes the gospel in its' fullness, not adding nor subtracting.

Thank God,I was able to locate you homepage, and I saw exactly what Iam looking for.

Henry Ilona Evangelist in Ivory Coast - 15 June 2004

Preach the truth, refute false hood, and hold unto the true teachings of our Lord and the apostles.

Both anti-Charismatic and Charismatic camps talk of joy.

Who wants to worship Jehovah without joy, like those worshipping Satan and evil spirits?

We have to understand that a Christian is a new creature in Christ filled with joy carrying out the Great Commission.

When we aim to miss out in the truth(by not having all the God-given joy or manifestation), it does not matter how big and vibrant our churches are; as sinning against the Holy God of Israel and fail the Great Commission. David Lim June2004

MY COMMITMENT AS A CHRISTIAN

I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear.

I cannot be bought, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me-my banner will be clear!

So, size does not matter, and size is not a gauge of victory and success all the time.

We are measured by our faith, our trust, our witness and our discipleship in Christ. We are judged by whether we uphold the Holy Name of Jehovah and Christ Jesus/Yeshua. We are to be measured by the standards and law of God Almighty, and not by any worldly standard and worldly/human law. By this we affirm His Lordship in our whole selves(lives, souls, spirits, and decision and attitude). We are Christmen. We are Christians. David Lim 2004
