For the sake of a lame lamb
The Lord had entrusted to me some lame lambs from time to time. It is therefore my duty, calling and joy to take care of the very few and leave large flocks to other shepherds.
At one time I came to take care of one who has severe Diabetes. He was about to die, we were told by the doctor in hospital, if he would be brought to hospital 2 hours later.
A very sick brother, who was a gambler, a debtor, physically close to a corpse.
He has severe pain and can not sit in Sunday service and endure the hours. So we went to visit him.
He was touched by God and was baptised after acknowledging the Almighty as his personal savior.
To date, he is still a Christian.
He is one of those who cannot come to church. He cannot sit for long. He needs a bed.
Nevertheless, he is a precious soul to us all. Very often my co-worker would come to his room/dwelling to worship with him and minister to him. Ministering includes cleaning up his dwelling after breaking bread.
At one time we have an illegal immigrant. He cannot surface without being caught by the police. So we administer to him via friends, with messages of God.
Guess what, he was baptised as well. Another precious soul who cannot come to church.
From time to time we encounter pastors who think to church building they have built and church system they have set up is the perfect picture require by God; and condemn me for not joining their membership. The hidden agenda, I guess, is that they want to lord over me and pound me into submission of their mode of the perfect church.
This reminds me that we are sinners saved by grace. We still exhibit sin and live sinfully in our daily lived. We are not yet totally sanctified. These encountering teach us to love God and His sheep; to have patience and faithfullness with our tasks and calling.
There are many things we cannot explain. And this teaches us to be humble and look to God for answers and wonderful consequence.
I might be a shepherd of one or two lame lambs for a long time. They are so poor that I do not get enough donation or tithe for my ministry or my living. They are so few and demanding that I do not have large assemblies to boast of my success and man power. Nevertheless, the grace of God is sufficient for me. God provides for our lives.

Not long ago, I was invited to an Islamic country and preached/ministered to more than 20,000 people. Instead of being an encouragement to our fellow pastors and missionaries, I have become an object of contention and despise. I was looked down upon, and sermonised. Some would name their more dangerous and daring and numerous missions.
The air of appreciation is very thin indeed.
I did not readily mention the number of people I reached and ministered to, and already received such intimidating treatment. There may be little benefit for such brethren if I let them know I was invited to the largest preaching platform in history to speak/minister to to largest life crowd in history.
Perhaps the ministry I have with a few lame lamb has yielded humility, love and patience that is now sufficient to uplift me in the current situation.
God has not let me/us down. We are given opportunity to serve exceedingly large crowds. Given time, the loving Father will bring all members of the body of Christ together. In Christ the Head, we have unity and coherence.
Glory be to God.
