D.Lim: We are looking prophesy of modern times and events here in an ancient book/prophesy/revelation.
We are seeing God telling us the future; what things will be like from a time of horses and carts.
2:3
他勇士的盾牌是紅的, 精兵都穿朱紅 (.衣服.). 在他預備 (.爭戰.)的日子, 戰車上的鋼鐵閃爍如火, 柏木把的 (.槍.) 也掄起來了.The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. -KJV

車輛在街上 ((或作城外)) 急行, 在寬闊處奔來奔去, 形狀如火把, 飛跑如閃電.The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
D.Lim: Many modern cars have logo of shields in the front. Eg: Porsche, Ferrari,GM.
Even Acura has shield of red background in the front of some modified cars.
D.Lim: Red lights on modern vehicles. Many race cars are painted bright red, like scarlet朱紅 and not blood red.
Modern cars have head lights and spot lights like torches, whereas chariots in olden days did not have torch or light with them. We can see this in book illustration, terracotta chariots of Qing Dynasty, chariots from pyramids in museums.
The suspensions of the cars vibrate like terribly shaken fir trees.
The suspension of ancient chariots hardly exist.
The suspensions of tanks are hardly seen. Being so heavy they do not bounce much.

車輛在街上 ((或作城外)) 急行, 在寬闊處奔來奔去, 形狀如火把, 飛跑如閃電.The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings. -KJV
D.Lim: Tanks and armored vehicles are not built to race on streets only. Also, the weight of tanks is so great that the streets will crack and get damaged after being driven over by modern tanks.
Tanks are not used for transportation mainly. They are not built to justle one against another in broad ways. Cars are.
In Canada, motor vehicles have to have head lights on even when being driven in broad day light. This is a safety feature, increasing visibility.
Tanks and armored cars are not driven with lights on all the time.
Chariots in ancient times hardly get driven with torches. They did not and do not light up like torches.
形狀如火把
� that could be the aerodynamic shapes of the vehicles. Ancient chariots do not have cone shape or any torch shape. They have round front or flat front.They did not and do not have contours like rocket heads or torch cones(形狀如火把). Race cars and modern vehicles do. Eg: Acura 2005 models RL and RSX; 2002 Acura EL. Toyota Corolla 2004-5. Camero, Corvette.
They seem like torches with red back lights on at the back, in the USA.
Modern race cars can run like lightnings, although tanks can run at 60mph, which is a lightning speed for such heavy war machines.
Horses are described to be lightning fast. Ancient chariots are not described that way. The passengers on ancient chariots probably could not withstand such wind speed, being exposed to the elements.

No spear is mentioned in the KJV. No spear was literally mentioned.
No translation refer to scenes outside a walled city.

USA is turning away from God. It ceases to be a Christian or a Godly country.
Canada is turning away from God. Canada pride herself in homosexual and Humanistic sins.
Both countries are members of the G8, being hailed as highly developed and affluent developed countries. Both carry out much international trade.
Some US citizens even contemplated of leaving USA when George Bush who is slightly Christian in policies, won a second term of US Presidential office.

The shields of his mighty men are colored red,
The warriors are dressed in (Ezek 23:14, 15) scarlet,
The chariots are enveloped in flashing steel
When he is prepared to march,

Policemen carry badges and shields. Many citizens and club members also carry badges.
Police and Firemen are hailed as mighty men of a country.
Chariots enveloped in flashing steel, an appearance of modern day vehicles/cars.
Very few ancient chariots are made of steel/iron. Hardly any was enveloped in steel or flashing steel.
The red color also refered to harlotry. A mighty country whose mighty men are enlisted into a form of harlotry. USA is a country whose many mighty men are great traders and traffickers of isms and ideologies.
The pages of their books/records are shaken wildly. The bills, banners, and books are raised up and shaken wildly.

D.Lim: Some sort of disasters happen to cause cars to run madly in the streets. However, for Nahum, being in an ancient time, our daily commune with cars on our highways/freeways would liken to chariots with torches racing madly in the streets and the squares.
At night their appearance is like torches and lightning flashes.
The lights of cars racing next to you at 60mph do appear to be lightning flashes.

� liken to harlotry. They worship financial wealth, Humanistic values, and left God.In this Christmas 2004, there is extremely few symbols of Christmas found in shopping malls and public areas. Lots of Christmas trees voids of Biblical symbols, and lots of snowmen and Santa Claus.
People accept Santa Claus much much more than Jesus Christ and the churches.
People have turn away from God in masses in favour of Humanism, equality, tolerance, freedom of expression, commerce and bloodless peace/war.
The valiant men are in scarlet
� Santa Claus becomes the hero, instead of Christ Jesus.We see legions of Santa Claus out to deliver happiness and festive mood, and twisted “goodwill” with no Jesus/Yeshua on their lips.
The delivery trucks, cars are racing in the streets to aid commerce and spiritual harlotry.
Nineveh, a country(symbol of humanity) once repented from sins and judgement of God, is sunk in harlotry and sins.

The metal on the chariots flashes
on the day they are made ready;

Ancient chariots in ancient battle scenes do not run to and fro; they run headon to meet the opposition.
