Luke路加福音11vv4-10:

11:4 赦免我們的罪, 因為我們也赦免凡虧欠我們的人. 不叫我們遇見試探. 救我們脫離兇惡. (.有古卷無末句.)

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

11:5 耶穌又說, 你們中間誰有一個朋友, 半夜到他那裡去說, 朋友, 請借給我三個餅.

And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

11:6 因為我有一個朋友行路, 來到我這裡, 我沒有甚麼給他擺上.

For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

11:7 那人在裡面回答說, 不要攪擾我. 門已經關閉, 孩子們也同我在床上了. 我不能起來給你.

And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

11:8 我告訴你們, 雖不因他是朋友起來給他, 但因他情詞迫切的直求, 就必起來照他所需用的給他.

I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

11:9 我又告訴你們, 你們祈求就給你們. 尋找就尋見. 叩門就給你們開門.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

11:10 因為凡祈求的就得著. 尋找的就尋見. 叩門的就給他開門.

This is not found in NU, noting that some see it alright to leave out.

Today, many see fit to leave out the power gifts(charismata) of the Holy Spirit. Their religion/faith have less in content.

7:7 你們祈求, 就給你們. 尋找, 就尋見. 叩門, 就給你們開門.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

7:8 因為凡祈求的, 就得著. 尋找的, 就尋見. 叩門的, 就給他開門.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

D.Lim: This spells out the reason for prayers. We ask and receive. Hold back and receive less.

Christ tells us through many passages the meaning and format of seeking. This is to ask in prayer to God the Father and to seek withough ceasing. Those who turn back, backslide, will suffer lost.

Keep knocking. Do not follow the examples and words of those who are perishing.

Do not learn the ways of the sons of destruction and perdition.

7:9 你們中間, 誰有兒子求餅, 反給他石頭呢.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

D.Lim: God is giving good things. But we ought to ask, to anticipate the giving.

7:10 求魚, 反給他蛇呢.

Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

7:11 你們雖然不好, 尚且知道拿好東西給兒女, 何況你們在天上的父, 豈不更把好東西給求祂的人麼.

D.Lim: It is correct to describe mankind as evil. This is not foul language.

God does good beyond the realm of evil desire, evil men and evil dealings.

Jesus Christ do repeat Himself in teaching, for reminding and reaching different audience.

Let us pay attention to His teachings.

Many Liberals like to concentrate on the teachings of Christ. This teaching here is about asking with persistence. They will certain encounter Christ and receive much blessings and gifts(as supported by this teaching and promise of Christ/God) if they practice what they believe or teach; even if it be part or parts of Scriptures. (Unfortunately not the case for people in darkness/evil)

Most often one has shaken off God when one shoke off parts of God.

Most often one has shaken off the Word of God when one shoke off parts of the Word of God.

So, work out your salvation in fear and trembling. Lest after rejecting parts of the truth, you end up in total darkness and evil; being wicked only.

God gives faith to those who ask. God gives abundant faith to those children who ask.

D.Lim: This is the teaching of God through Paul. Pray without ceasing. Do not stop praying.

Do not break the communication. Do not keep silence. Have faith and hope. Let love be voiced out, aloud!

Isaiah以賽亞書 62 vv6,7:

62:6 耶路撒冷阿, 我在你城上設立守望的. 他們晝夜必不靜默. 呼籲耶和華的, 你們不要歇息,

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

62:7 也不要使他歇息, 直等他建立耶路撒冷, 使耶路撒冷在地上成為可讚美的.

And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

D.Lim: Be watchful. Prayers is not a matter of keeping silence, holding ones’ peace.

We ought to be eagerly looking forward to the establishment of the Holy City Jerusalem; participating in prayers.

We need to remind Christ, San Shalom, all the time concerning Jerusalem.

The is the Word of God.

Colossians歌羅西書 1vv7,9:

As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

D.Lim: Paul set us example of prayers for the brethren. Goodwill to men through prayers to God. Prayers is part of the edification of the church, an emblem of love and care.

Luke路加福音18vv1-8:

18:1 耶穌設一個比喻, 是要人常常禱告, 不可灰心.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

D.Lim: Men ought always to pray. Keep at it! Not just for Sunday mornings. Not just 3 times a day. But pray always, from day to night, whenever possible.

Do not be deceived by institutions and traditions. Turn to God. Turn to the Word of God for guidance and security.

Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

D.Lim: The scene is set to show how important ceaseless prayers are in our intercession, and plead. This is part of the God-ordained prayer. This ought to be part of our lives, to our benefit.

18:3 那城裡有個寡婦, 常到他那裡, 說, 我有一個對頭, 求你給我伸冤.

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

D.Lim: The widow is supposed to be rather helpless, yet she persist. We forget at times that we are rather helpless, and we look down upon prayers. We slighted the importance of prayer, the communication with God Almighty, the Majesty, the King!

18:4 他多日不准. 後來心裡說, 我雖不懼帕神, 也不尊重世人.

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

D.Lim: God may refuse our request for some seasons. No reason for us to give up good things.

No reason for our hearts to faint. All reason for us to persevere. Christ is reminding and teaching us that through parable and scripture.

18:5 只因這寡婦煩擾我, 我就給他伸冤罷. 免得他常來纏磨我.

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

D.Lim: Remember, God will avenge us now, in the future, even in the final judgement. We need to be with Him all the time. We may enjoy His judgement, the process.

18:6 主說, 你們聽這不義之官所說的話.

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

D.Lim: Christ asks us to hear.

18:7 神的選民, 晝夜呼籲他, 他縱然為他們忍了多時, 豈不終久給他們伸冤麼.

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

D.Lim: We are the elect. We must not just learnt the title: Christian. We must know other description of ourselves. We must know more of the revelation and the truth of God for our own good. We are to cry/pray, interceed day and night; not just 3 times in day light.

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

D.Lim: This is a way to quicken God. This is an act of righteousness.

Please do not disappoint God/Yhwh our Heavenly Father. Please do not let our Lord Jesus/Yeshua down.

We need 24/7 prayer time. We need devotion and concentration and direction.

We need to exhibit more of godly faithfulness.

We need to expand the realm, the application of prayer.

We need to keep in communication with Heaven, with Father in Heaven.

We need to declare forgiveness of others.

We need to release blessings.

We need to bind and cast out evil spirits and forces, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

We need to declare victory of Christ and sovereignty of God everywhere.

We need to preach and teach through prayer.

We need to equip the saints all the time, in all occassions.

We need to be vigilant.

We need to stand firm in spiritual battles.
