Psalm 133
Joy of unity in truth and in the Lord.
Psalm 133 -ASV
v1. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Behold! Attention! Wake up. Think this way! Consider!
How good! and how pleasant it is. It is not just good. And it is not just pleasant. There is more to the truth and feeling. It is a combination of the two.
The people of God are brethren. Not just friends or neighbours. Israel is a union of brethren.
Expression of an ideal, a spiritual reality; rather than a perpetual picture on earth.
Some teaches that the purpose of redemption (God's plan) is to restore mankind's lost relationship with God before the fall.
The Bible gives a picture different to that.
The plan of God as expressed in the Gospel is to bring man back to unity with God as gods ruling with Him. This is a far more glorious message and relationship than just restoring Paradice lost.
A union in feelings, in coordination, in life-styles is more than just enjoying life in Paradice.
One of the most prominent messages of the Word of God is UNITY between God and men.
God does not seek to rule over mankind. God seeks to be with man as the bride with the groom. A final marriage in heaven; an everlasting covenant of love and peace/completness.

This is a song of David; a Psalm of old.
The reality ought to be a praise in life.
The writer of old was inspired to understand this truth/revelation. We are to pick up from his thrive. We are to enjoy unity with the brethren and with God.
It is not good to be alone.
People can live in separation. Death is also expressed as a form of living.
There is something more than living. It is living together, that reveals another height of perfection.
v2. It is like the precious oil upon the head, That ran down upon the beard, Even Aaron's beard; That came down upon the skirt of his garments;
Not just some sort of suntan lotion, plant oil; butter or margarine.
This oil is precious; hard to obtain.
A picture of the anointing of Aaron. A new era. A new covenant.
Men used to have beard, even that the beard makes the man look older, and rougher.
Oil dripping from top to bottom - an expression of completness.

The effect of the anointing oil on the anointed is rarely known nowadays.
Such precious oil is imagined to be perfume like; highly enjoyable.
It adorns rather than irritates.
It is a sign of acknowledgement and acceptance. Nothing about rejection.
v3. Like the dew of Hermon, That cometh down upon the mountains of Zion: For there Jehovah commanded the blessing, Even life for evermore.
Like something rare, but for certain, exists.
Like a blessing that comes down from Zion, where Jehovah is.
The source is from jehovah. Not from men.
Unity of the brethren is as longlasting as everlasting life.
It is life in exceeding fulness; joy overflowing. Our cups overflow.

A pictoral expression.
The blessing of Yahweh flows from the mountains of Zion to everlasting.
Not eternal, but everlasting.
Mountains of Zion may signifies sons of God, kings with Christ, multitudes of saints.
There is the unity of mountains under one name.
From a transient dew fall to everlasting perpetuation.
Longlived is goodness originated from Jehovah God. He is the source of such goodness, such unity.
Highly desirable.
Unity is not destruction. It does not break up or disintegrate.
