Being filled with the Holy Spirit
As Bible/Biblical Christians we recognise the Bible being the Word of God, interprets itself.
We are to draw parallel and example from one part to illustrate another.
Anti-Charismatics like to teach of other experience and moral/spiritual virtues mentioned in Scriptures - such as the fruits of the Spirit(Gal 5 v22-23)- being the filling of the Spirit.
Anti-Charismatics like to teach of the baptism of the Spirit like that of water baptism(Romans 6).
Romans 6 vv3-4 refers to water baptism and not just any of all types of baptism.
The passage speak of witness, not power. Having power of God is not a matter of dying to sin. Having power is not about serving lusts or avoiding lusts. It is about waiting on the Lord, to be filled by Him with His might and blessings to do His callings.
\
o/ \o/ \o/反靈恩想法﹕Anti-Charismatics claim/believe that:
They alone are Evangelicals. Doctrinally and in practice they are not in error.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit靈洗 is one single experience at the time of repentance.
Baptism in water or fire or of/in the Spirit is the same as expressed in Romans 6.
Believers are filled with the Spirit even that Scripture does not tell us so (eg: Mary with Elizabeth. All are filled, but only Elizabeth and her womb are described as being filled with the Spirit).
Being filled must be in self-control and not as drunk with alcohol.
Theirs is the Pure Faith純淨信仰﹐純正信仰, Pure Doctrine 正確教義, Pure Religion, orthodox.
This hints that those they oppose have impure or corrupt faith and doctrine. The baptism of the Spirit is referred to a believer water baptism to differentiate from that of John.
D.Lim: How often do anti-charismatics try to read one verse and make stories out of it? How often do they take pre-texts!
Sanctification is not effected with sin, with negligence, with biased attitude.
How often do anti-charismatics pray unceasingly? How often do they fast and pray for days? Where is the heart for God? The heart to seek and do His Will?
Filled - Strong's Ref. # 4130
Romanized pletho
Pronounced play'-tho
a prolonged form of a primary pleo {pleh'-o} (which appears only as an alternate in certain tenses and in the reduplicated form pimplemi); to "fill" (literally or figuratively [imbue, influence, supply]); specifically, to fulfil (time):
KJV--accomplish, full (...come), furnish.
D.Lim: It has no relationship with dipped, immersed.
It does not equate baptizo(with or without water).
Being filled and being baptised/dipped are both passive exercise, requiring an enabling initiator.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Water Baptism is a one off (once and for all) experience/process/witness; although
Some immersionists disregard baptism of other denominations/churches and have to baptise believers again.
Also, in the past, Ana-baptists went through a second baptism, which is a baptism of believer.
Nowadays some believers go through a water baptism of believers after having infant baptism(unBiblical, and still advocated by Catholic churches, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Methodists, Anglicans. . . ) in their early days.

Let us look at Scriptures again:
Gal 5 v22:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
D.Lim: Any mentioning of earthquake? Tongues of fire? Spiritual tongues/languages? Prophesies? Any healing?
Any mentioning of once for all experience and process? Joyful once? Peaceful once? Gentle once? Faithful once?
No mentioning that this is part of or another representation of water baptism.
No mentioning that this represents baptism of believers.
This is no immersion.

Romanized karpos
Pronounced kar-pos'
probably from the base of GSN0726; fruit (as plucked), literally or figuratively:
KJV--fruit.
D.Lim: This is no gift/charismata.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Gal 5 v24-25:
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
D.Lim: This is more related to Romans 6 (water baptism).
No mentioning about having been filled with the Holy Spirit.
No mentioning that all who walk in the Spirit are filled with the Spirit.
No mentioning that these people are empowered to perform and sign or miracle.
Eph 5 v9:
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
D.Lim: Any mentioning of earthquake(Ezk 37v7)? Tongues of fire(Acts 2)? Spiritual tongues/languages? Prophesies?
Any mentioning of once for all experience and process? NO.
Drawing erroneous parallels is certainly no godly act.
Furit - Strong's Ref. # 2590
Romanized karpos
Pronounced kar-pos'
probably from the base of GSN0726; fruit (as plucked), literally or figuratively:
KJV--fruit.
D.Lim: This is no gift/charisma. What is nurtured and given birth to is no gift. (Eg: the gift of eternal/everlasting life is not something that the faithful work out in time [ John 3 v16, Romans 3 vv20-28].)
\
o/ \o/ \o/Acts 1 vv4-5: The Baptism of the Spirit after water baptism:
1:4
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
1:5
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
D.Lim: A separate experience. The baptism of the Spirit is not a water baptism to differentiate from that of John. The disciples of Christ were baptised already before the ascension; and now, they are told to wait (not working out or producing any fruit of the Spirit/Light) for the Spirit to come; even after that Christ had breathed on them and told them to receive the Spirit.
Walking with God/Christ does not equate having the gifts of the Spirit, or having been baptised by the Spirit.
These disciples were baptised with water, and/or at least regarded as believers alright. They were the witnesses of Christ. Yet Christ commanded them to wait and receive a second experience! Another witness!
Acts1v5 explicitly talk of different experience/process in comparison, avoiding any mistake of recognising them as one and the same thing.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Acts 2 vv2-4:
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
D.Lim: Which fruit of the Spirit is produced or manifested suddenly as in Acts2 v2?
Which fruit comes with rushing mighty wind?
There were no human agent to perform this baptism; filling the disciples with the Spirit or gifts. This is unlike water baptism.
D.Lim: This is an act of God while the Christians/believers are walking with God.
God takes the initiation. God gives the gifts. The believers simply have to receive them (a passive act).
D.Lim: Is there anywhere in Scriptures telling us that being filled with the Spirit is just having the fruits of the Spirit?
D.Lim: Well this
- speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance is not a fruit of the Spirit. It is given by the Spirit.D.Lim: Is there anywhere in Scriptures telling us that having the fruits of the Spirit is having tongues like as of fire sitting upon those with the fruits of the Spirit? Which verses?
It is just not there.
D.Lim: Is there anywhere in Scriptures telling us that having the fruits of the Spirit is having a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and filled all the house? Which verses?
It is just not there.
What are Anti-Charismatics teaching?
\
o/ \o/ \o/Acts 4 v31:
By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
D.Lim: Look at v30. Where does it mention in scriptures that bearing fruits of the Spirit include effecting miracles(signs and wonders), able to heal?
D.Lim: Look at v31. Where does it mention in scriptures that bearing fruits of the Spirit include effecting miracles(signs and wonders), having earthquake? They did not just speak the word of God with boldness. The Spirit shocked the place first as confirmation and demonstration of God being with them. This is no moral act of men/believers.
D.Lim: In v32
many believed. This is not mentioned in the fruits of the Spirit. Faithful Christians are not promised to have many believers when they preach at any time. The Spirit effect them to bear fruits.
In v33
with great power apart from great grace(bearing fruits of the Spirit, leading to the gathering of repentant souls).\
o/ \o/ \o/Acts 9 v17:
And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
D.Lim: Nowhere in Scripture does it teach water baptism brings forth immediately the filling of the Spirit, the bestowing of spiritual gifts, so that the baptised may work signs and wonders with power immediately. Nowhere does water baptism grant complete and perfect knowledge of the truth, of the Bible, of the Christ. V17 tells us of 2 different processes. Vv18-19 do not tell us Paul was filled with spiritual gifts and work signs and wonders right after his water baptism.
Saul was not baptised with water when he received his sight back. If he was filled with the Spirit when he was baptised with water, he would be receiving his sight back(a miracle by itself) before being filled. The conjunction
and would be made redundant. If Saul was filled with the Spirit at the time of receiving his sight back, he would have been filled with the Spirit before water baptism mentioned in the next verse, describing what he was doing next. 2 verses
2 process 2 witness 2 steps.D.Lim: v17 does not tell us that Ananias told Paul to offer up himself completely to God. Something passive was to happen
the active Spirit filling Paul/Saul.D.Lim: Nowhere does it mention that Ananias stayed until Paul produced all the fruits of the Spirit. Having the fruits, bearing fruits does not equate being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Paul was not filled with the Spirit at his repentance or at his first encounter with Christ.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Acts 13 v9:
Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
D.Lim: The wording is not that Paul was bearing fruit or going to bear fruit in the proceeding verses(v10,11) of v9.
Working signs and wonders(working miracles) is not bearing fruits of the Spirit. No character change or improvement. Effect takes place instantly. Not a gradual process.D.Lim: Paul spoke with prophetic authority(
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season). Nowhere in the fruit bearing verses mention having power to prophesy, to judge (And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness), to punish (And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season) (not just announcing a verdict). Not a gentle act.\
o/ \o/ \o/Matt 5 v6:
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
D.Lim: They are not building up their own righteousness. They are after righteousness. This is no once and for all experience.
They are believers already, but are not filled. They do not get everything at water baptism. They are not satisfied completely at the time of repentance. (Eg: Paul/Saul was not made well and spiritually completely satisfied at the time of his repentance. He waited for Ananias for days; he fasted. He met Christ again later. He had to fight the good fight and run the good course. No one off religious experience like water baptism.) They shall be filled during and after their quest(eg: crowns and inheritance reserved for the saints, the righteous ones).
They are granted satisfaction.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Luke 1 vv15, 41, 67:
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
D.Lim: A special case. Being filled with the Spirit does not equate bearing fruits or water baptism. It happens at different time for different believers. Some earlier, and some later. Here, John was filled as early as being in the womb. The Apostles were filled much later.
Christ did not impart the Spirit on them (even that they believed) until the end of His first earthly ministry.
D.Lim: No water baptism yet.
And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
1:42 高聲喊著說, 你在婦女中是有福的, 你所懷的胎也是有福的.
And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
D.Lim: Elisabeth was filled with the Spirit when she heard the salutation of Mary. Not when she bore fruits of light. Not when she repented and believed God.
While filled, she prophesied. Where in the fruit category
(Gal 5 v22-23) is prophesy? Which part or verse talks about quick action and fulfilment? If believing in God means having the Spirit and having been filled with the Spirit, all other people were behaving very strangely by not recognising John, Christ and Mary and prophesying and praising God accordingly. This passage clearly tells us that some are enabled while the rest remain where and how they have always been.
Do all Anti-Charismatics prophesy, especially with their baptism and with their fruits?
For Cessationists, when did their kind use to prophesy, everyone of them? Where were these prophesies written/recorded? How rare was the occasion?
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
D.Lim: Being filled is having the hand of the Lord together with the person. But not vice versa.
Not in the same manner and degree with the parents of John, or the parents of Jesus; even that they walked with God.
And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
D.Lim:
Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost then; and he prophesied. What kind of fruit of light/righteousness is that (from illusatration of Eph and Gal)?\
o/ \o/ \o/Luke 2 v40:
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
D.Lim: Filled with wisdom rather than the fruits of the Spirit.
This filling is not a once and for all experience, situation, process.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Luke 3 v5:
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
D.Lim: Although this suggests a once and for all situation, filling up can still be a continuous exercise/process. The waves of multitudes are to be taken care of.
\
o/ \o/ \o/John 16 v6:
But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
D.Lim: This filling is not a once and for all experience, situation, process.
We meet with sorrow filling our hearts at different times.
We are not once and for all baptised (get involved ) with sorrow.
The past tense used does not preclude multiple occurence.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Acts 5 v3:
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
D.Lim: Scriptures do not teach that evil spirits only enter a person once or fill his heart with evil desires once.
The past tense used does not preclude multiple occurence.
They probably had been baptised with water and joined the community and fellowship. They had no gift of the Spirit. No witness of the Spirit.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Romans 1 v29:
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
D.Lim: The past tense used does not preclude multiple occurence. From time to time, there are addition and reduction of evil.
Scriptures interpret themselves. The contents dictate what the past tense (aorist, perfect tense) ought to mean in the context, not vice versa.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Romans 15 vv 13,14:
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing
, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.D.Lim: People can yet loose heart at times.
Doxology used in our meetings (eg: after Sunday worship) and in the letters again and again, because we know that we are to bless people again and again. It is not a once and for all process.
The gifts/charismata are devices. God also fill/give/provide sentiment, emotion, and situation.
And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are
full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.D.Lim: It is not hard to agree on the accumulation of knowledge in time. This is not a once and for all situation.
No believer came to have all knowledge right at the time of conversion/repentance.
This filling does not equate any one off baptism of water.
Interesting to see that immersionists like so much to visualise Romans 6 by act of immersion in water, and leap back to theorise and spiritualise the passage when it comes to application.
Baptising into the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is an ongoing process. But Baptism with water is a one off process.
Should the past tense preclude an ongoing process?
So often have Anti-Charismatics pretend to be scholarly and wise by turning a little bit to Greek and teach/insist that a past tense put things to completion in the past; and is to repeat/happen no more. How ridiculous they do not see ongoing processes.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Eph 1 v23:
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
D.Lim: Takes time and revelation to reveal to the people how the church/assembly is the fulness of Him that fills all in all.
It is done through Christ. But we are still in the processes of building up the churches.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Eph 3 v19:
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
D.Lim: The indwelling of Christ and the Spirit is for sure as promised. The presence of all gifts is not. Even Cessationists would propose that sign gifts are no more. So, having gifts and being baptised in anything, may it be water, fire or Spirit, are separate things.
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
D.Lim: Takes time to comprehend, although for certain comprehension will come to fruition.
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
D.Lim: Once and for all? Knew it all?
Please tell all to us all!
Stop lying! We are not knowing all of what passes knowledge.
Paul was speaking to believers. Scriptures are speaking to believers. We are yet to be filled with all the fulness of God. Not something in the past. You do not have all of the Spirit right at water baptism or at repentance.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Eph 4 vv10-13:
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
D.Lim: Up and down. Christ ascended in the past tense. He is yet to come again. Descend again. Past tense does not preclude happenings in the future.
God is in all things. Yet, He might/will fill all things. Having one sense of filling does not preclude other sense of filling. Same word and wording, but in different position for another process.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
D.Lim: Past tense again? No more apostles?
Then, by the same token, no more evangelists, and no more pastors/shepperds/poimen, and no more teachers!
Is this the situation in the camps of Anti-charismatics? Who is teaching and leading in their pulpits to direct attacks against the church, against Charismatics? Who have been writing books and producing A/V materials so recently? Who are leading meetings and fellowships and councils?
Nowhere in this verse does it single out apostles and prophets to cease, and to cease in the third century AD, and to allow evangelists and pastors and teachers to carry on their development from institutes and Theological colleges.
Both institutes and Theological colleges are unBiblical. No reference from the Bible. No dispensation in the Bible for them. Only heretical assertion and deduction.
Right at the end time revealed in the book of Revelation there are prophets. (Rev 11 vv3-12) More than one!
Scriptures interpret themselves. The contents dictate what the past tense (aorist, perfect tense) ought to mean in the context, not vice versa
.
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
D.Lim: Ongoing work. It was not finished, and accomplished in the past. We are yet to evangelise and to teach and to tend the flocks.
No need and no way to invent or insert a past tense here.
These ministers of different positions are for perfecting of the saints, even those yet to come. We are not left with scriptures alone.
We cannot eclectically say that some of these ministers are still around and some had not been.
It is ridiculous that people try to set up schools and institutes which are unBiblical and try to put down the teaching and ruling ministers, namely apostles, prophets and pastors/poimen.
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
D.Lim: Unity of truth is not yet achieved. Denominations everywhere. Heresies everywhere.
This is not just a matter of repentance or redemption.
We have not yet attain to the fulness of Christ.
\
o/ \o/ \o/Eph 5 vv 18-20:
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Anti-charismatics scorn and mock the chaos in charismatic worship and devotion, yelling, shouting, falling and rolling on the ground, speaking in murmurs of the so-called tongues by their own interpretation. They do not see to the divisions amongst them, myriads of denominations under the arrival of perfection – The Bible (as they interpret 1Cor13). They fail to recognise chaos in their meeting places, councils and teachings. They fail to recognise omission of music, instrument, prayers and worship. Lacking shofars, harps, guitars, cymbals and new songs.
They fail to see God delights in perfecting worship by the words of babes.
(Matt 21 v16)D.Lim: Restrain/Temperance as a gift from Gal 5 v23, working together with being filled with the Spirit. Two areas of the works of the Spirit in demand.
D.Lim: Meanwhile, the Charismatic Churches are growing in the greatest paste. Over one million came to Christ at times in some places. Wherein is excess? Wherein is chaos?
Loss of control?
D.Lim: Getting drunk or having self-restrain are active exercise. Letting oneself to be filled with the Spirit or anything is a passive exercise.
Letting God is passive. Acting for God is active.
Matt 21 v16:
21:15
And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased,
21:16
And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
D.Lim: We should not just seek to be civilized all the time. We should realise what God is demanding and expecting from us. We are just kids in the eyes of God. We seek to praise God in whatever ways the Spirit leads, no matter how wild or childish that might appear. Let us be joyful and Godcentred/Godward.
D.Lim: Much of Revivals took place within traditional Evangelical and nominal churches (ie: Welsh churches) Most often, Revivals bring in great increase of renewed Christians and new repentant believers; so much so that churches yearn to have great increase of their congregations by naming their evangelistic meetings – Revivals.
In such Revivals are uncontrolable behaviour (ie: weeping and crying unceasingly; hearts filled with zeal to worship day and night; sitting very quietly for very long time; feeling the presence of God). The Gospel of God is very much preached in Revivals(events so reputed to be matters of chaos and dissipation).
You want to praise and worship God His way, or by your own conception and deduction?
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
D.Lim: In your heart! Not by your stomach and body. This is the contrast of v18.
Christians/believers are even taught to make joyful noises to God. Not just intelligible words.
(Ps89v15, 105v43, 118v15, 126v2, 5; Job36v33)
Bill Keller 22-1-04: Sadly, rather than going out and challenging that ungodly message, the
church has decided to withdraw from the world and isolate itself. Rather
than being the salt and light God has called us to be, we have found it more
"comfortable" to simply withdraw and stay to ourselves. We feel safe in our
churches since we are with "our own kind." We have our OWN TV stations. We
have our OWN radio stations. We have our OWN books and magazines. We have
our OWN music. We have our OWN schools. Rather than using these great
resources to reach the lost, we have found it is much easier (and more
profitable) to simply "preach to the choir" and isolate ourselves from the
rest of the world.
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
D.Lim: This verse speaks of what Charismatics always do in worship and in living – giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. With this, there is no sinning.
Dr. Jeff Lee (Baptist minister)22-1-04: Claiming to be a Christian without full obedience of what
the Bible says is taking a short cut, like building a house without the solid foundation. True, no one can tell the difference, till the time of testing, trial and the final judgment.

o/ \o/ \o/Col 1 v9:
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
D.Lim: This means that believers are not filled with the knowledge of His will at any earlier times; not from repentance, and not at baptism of water. Spiritual understanding and wisdom in completeness was not a natural at the beginning. Certainly some was known; but not enough. Not fully filled. So, there are different stages and quantities of being filled with the knowledge, wisdom and spiritual understanding.
This is why everyone unavoidably has to learn, attend seminar, listen to sermons, read and discuss Scriptures, and do exercise.

o/ \o/ \o/Acts 14 v17:
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
D.Lim: This filling is another proof that filling is not a once and for all experience, situation and event.
We need to be filled with food and gladness daily/often.
Continuous witness.
Continuously did good.
God gave us and not we who earn them, create them and initiate them.
Scriptures interpret themselves. The contents dictate what the past tense (aorist, perfect tense) ought to mean in the context, not vice versa.

o/ \o/ \o/Phil 1 v11:
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Being filled - Strong's Ref. # 4137
Romanized pleroo
Pronounced play-ro'-o
from GSN4134; to make replete, i.e. (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.:
KJV--accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply.
D.Lim: Being filled with the Spirit = being filled with the fruits of righteousness?
Both are repeating processes. However, baptism of water is a once and for all witness(a single process).

o/ \o/ \o/D.Lim: Is there anywhere in Scriptures telling us that being filled with the Spirit is not lossing control? The very word spirit depicting alcohol is from the effects observed from the Spirit or having the Spirit. Historically, it is well known and established that when a person is possessed by spirit, he looses self-control.
The zeal of God consumes believers.
No body is in self-control when prophesying, as the words and ideas are Divinely supplied. They do not make things up as they go along.
The Apostles did not work themselves up to be bold at the day of Pentecost. They did not train their tongues to speak new tongues. The listeners did not plan or work up sorrow in their hearts to be cut to the heart. People do not work up repentance.
Samson did not build up his strength with self-control.
Is there anywhere in Scriptures telling us that being filled with the Spirit is just having the fruits of the Spirit?
All come from deduction rather than straightly from written sentences.
Some people never wake up to reality. We are not to be quick to condemn and dismiss.
We are to have grace, mercy, pity, long suffering, and reaching out to the unsaved souls.
And to point out heresies and to admonish our brethren, and to teach all truths in order to edify the Church.
Let God be God.
Let us all worship God with all our might, all our hearts, all our minds and all our strength, may it be raising up holy hands, making noises and leaping from our stances.
