Titus 3 v7 -
that being justified by His (the Holy Spirit, God) grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life (of eternal life according to hope).Paul is writing to his true child according to common faith (Ti1v4). He is writing to us, his true children in common faith.
He never say he has received a different, special faith.
All things are according to the will and plan of God.
Hope is originated from the plan of salvation. God's Plan of Redemption.
Paul tells us that we are being justified; an ongoing process. A continuation; not to be regarded as a event well finished in the past by an Aorist tense. The meaning of the text over-rule the pre-supposed meaning of a grammatical structure. A new expression is often screaming for recognition.
We are being justified by His grace.
Not by our self-will; not by our own personal choice. Nothing can resist the hand of God.
Our eternal life is received according to the hope He initiated.
Hope is not created by us; since it is not planned by us. We simply receive it together with our yielding to Christ. He is master and we His slaves.
Paul is not ashamed to tell us he is a slave of God (Ti1v1). It is a qualification for the service of the Most High. Not that we are lofty; but that we are lowly; to be conformed to the condecendance of Christ.
We live in Christ unto eternity. Yet some of us still have a physical death to go through, before being caught up by God to the heavens. Eternal life is therefore not yet complete.
In hope we may trust.
We need to trust Him for what we do not see, and not yet seen.
In hope we learn to trust in Him.
In hope we may serve Him with obedience, and prove ourselves His faithful; glorifying Him by trusting in His faithfullness.
We accepted His plan before seeing the final scene.
In Christ, we are already born again, new creatures for the new heaven. Life is heaven with God. Life is hell, which is death without God.
It is possible to be in heaven without eternal life. Satan will be casted down for the rest of the ages, though he has been in heaven.
Our choice is according to His plan, that nobody may boast of initiation, and dictate over His judgement. He is sovereign afterall.
We have rest in His providence. We are save in His protection. If God is for us, who can be against us? In Him we are more than conqueror.
We only ripe strive and unsettle ourselves ruling by our selves. We become losers.
In His love He has brought all things donforming to His will.
