Transubstantiation

This term means a change of substance; material change. Not just a change of imputed meanings, intengible meanings, or how people regard the meaning of the material.

The Roman Catholic doctrine of Transubstantiation has become indefensible as there is no substantial proof, medical proof, scientific proof, emperical proof that the wafer and wine do change in substance into the spiritual and carnal flesh and blood of Christ.

Later on Roman Catholic scholar redefined the term to include and imply a change of meaning or imputed meaning relating to the wafer/bread and wine; thus making some sense to the requirement of change.
However, the material substance of these wafer and wine remain unchange.

The subject becomes a matter of faith, rather than a matter of facts and figures.

Does the Holy Scriptures hint on changes of meaning and regard being changes of substances?
Not at all.
Lets read of the Prophet Isaiah:

Isaiah Ch44 vv12-20
v12. The smith maketh an axe, and worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with his strong arm: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth; he drinketh no water, and is faint.
v13. The carpenter stretcheth out a line; he marketh it out with a pencil; he shapeth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compasses, and shapeth it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house.
v14. He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the holm-tree and the oak, and strengtheneth for himself one among the trees of the forest: he planteth a fir-tree, and the rain doth nourish it.
v15. Then shall it be for a man to burn; and he taketh thereof, and warmeth himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread: yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
v16. He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied; yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire.
v17. And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image; he falleth down unto it and worshippeth, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
v18. They know not, neither do they consider: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
v19. And none calleth to mind, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
v20. He feedeth on ashes; a deceived heart hath turned him aside; and he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

The thought of the hearts does not change the material substance of the idols and graven images. Imputed thoughts have not change the idols to what they were not. They remained graven images, void of life, power, direction, and independence.

Futile thoughts do not end up with meaning and power and substance.

One will of men established these idols, another will of men can put them down. They are controlled symbols.

They are neither stronger nor are they sensible.

The Substance


Isaiah 44 vv26-28
v26. that confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith of Jerusalem, She shall be inhabited; and of the cities of Judah, They shall be built, and I will raise up the waste places thereof;
v27. that saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers;

v28. That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying of Jerusalem, She shall be built; and of the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

Sayings do not make facts.

Willful thinking do not effect independent ability and change.

One reality - One God


Isaiah 44 vv7,8
v7. And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and that shall come to pass, let them declare.
v8. Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have I not declared unto thee of old, and showed it? and ye are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? yea, there is no Rock; I know not any.

We ought to be Godward. We ought to worship Christ our Lord and place/fit/place our faith in Him.

All other castles of thoughts are sinking sand!

Let His living water flows in our hearts. Let us feed on His truth, in scriptures as we are being taught by the Holy Spirit, another comforter

Let us be comforted by the Holy Spirit, who is God; rather than by some bread and wine.

He who eats of bread will be hungry again; just as you look forward to another Ucharist/Holy Communion.

Christ alone can truly satisfy. Have communion in Christ and with Christ.

Share your love and care with the brethren in visible ways, and not just by symbols.


Consubstantiation - The co-existence of meanings, ideas or substances; is the natural tendency or expression in development.

This term is originally used to represent the spiritual presence of the flesh and blood of Christ with the bread and wine in Holy Communion.

This thought goes against the teaching/exposition of the Apostle Paul concerning the "Love Feast" as a matter of "Memorance".

Some Christians believe that the presence of Christ, or the change of material is essential for unfit partakers to experience illness and death. This is having low regard on the matter and effect of "Memorance". This is beyond "Faith".

Blessed is he who believe without seeing.

We need to take all acts(including rites, thoughts, words and deeds) for Christ our God seriously, without adding to the acts themselves.
