WAR MAKERS #2 v. peacemakers ¨Ï¤H©M·üªº¤H

The Holy Bible, The Living Word Of God, teaches us to be Peace Makers.

Matthew°¨¤ÓºÖµ

5:7 ¼¦«ò¤Hªº¤H¦³ºÖ¤F, ¦]¬°¥LÌ¥²»X¼¦«ò.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

5:9 ¨Ï¤H©M·üªº¤H¦³ºÖ¤F, ¦]¬°¥LÌ¥²ºÙ¬°¯«ªº¨à¤l.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

5:10 ¬°¸q¨ü¹G¢ªº¤H¦³ºÖ¤F, ¦]¬°¤Ñ°ê¬O¥LÌªº.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:11 ¤HY¦]§Ú°d½|§AÌ, ¹G¢§AÌ, ®º³y¦U¼ËÃa¸Ü·´Á½§AÌ, §AÌ´N¦³ºÖ¤F,

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

5:12 À³·íÅw³ß§Ö¼Ö, ¦]¬°§AÌ¦b¤Ñ¤Wªº½à½ç¬O¤jªº. ¦b§AÌ¥H«eªº¥ýª¾, ¤H¤]¬O³o¼Ë¹G¢¥LÌ.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

In secular non-Christian societies, we find the scenes of rejection, rejecting Christ and real peacemaking, which is confronting evil and wickedness with the righteousness and truth of God; withstanding reviling and persecution and mockeries and scoffing and all other false accusation, against them/Christians and the Lord Christ Jesus.

Christians need to be rejoicing and be exceeding glad.

ARAFAT CALLS UPON CHILDREN TO BECOME 'MARTYRS' July 14, 2003

The Jerusalem Post reports: "Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat on Friday called on Palestinian children to follow the example of Fares Odeh, a 13-year-old boy from the Gaza Strip who has been immortalized posthumously by a photograph showing him throwing stones at an IDF tank. Odeh was alleged to have been killed on November 8, 2000 after being shot by IDF soldiers.

Arafat was speaking at a reception he held in his headquarters in Ramallah for hundreds of children from Jerusalem participating in summer camps. Many of the summer camps in the West Bank have included in their programs this year visits to Arafat's office.

Arafat has often cited Odeh's case in speeches praising the role of children in confronting IDF soldiers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. When IDF tanks and armored vehicles surrounded his headquarters last year, Arafat declared: 'I'm not better than martyr Fares Odeh, the brave Palestinian boy who confronted the tank. These tanks don't frighten me.'

In another interview following a similar IDF operation, Arafat said in response to a question whether he wasn't afraid: 'What is the danger? No one can scare the Palestinian people. You can ask Fares Odeh.'?

INDONESIA ARRESTS SEVEN TERROR SUSPECTS July 12, 2003

The Associated Press reports: "Indonesian police arrested seven terror suspects - one of whom allegedly committed suicide while being questioned - and raided a bomb-making factory, seizing explosives more powerful than those in last year's Bali bombings, officials said Friday.

They also found three books containing schedules of church services in Indonesia, police said, raising fears of plans for attacks on the country's Christian minority.

Islam is not an inherently violent faith: Until a few years ago, the leading suicide bombing outfit in the world was not al-Qaeda or Hamas, but the Tamil Tigers, a Sri Lankan group made up of Hindus. But the global pattern now suggests Muslims have a near-monopoly on suicide terrorism.

This is grimly ironic, because the Prophet Mohammed explicitly forbade suicide. In fact, his pronouncements imply suicide bombers will spend eternity constantly exploding themselves: "He who drinks poison and kills himself will carry his poison in his hand and drink it in Hell for ever and ever ... Whoever kills himself in any way will be tormented in that way in Hell."

And yet, terrorists are hardly pariahs within the Islamic world. Osama bin Laden is a hero to many, and polls conducted in the West Bank and Gaza have shown that suicide bombers enjoy widespread popularity.

The larger problem lies with the intolerant Wahhabi sect of Sunni Islam, Saudi Arabia's state-enforced creed. Lavishly funded Saudi religious groups have spent billions exporting their faith around the world -- and with it, a passion for jihad. Last year, Israel found documents showing that the Saudi Interior Ministry was funnelling money directly to the families of suicide bombers. National Post 17-7-03

International violence and ethnic hatred day after day.

Islam tells the World that Christians and the Jews changed the Holy Bible, and Islam sets the commandments of God right.

Do you really believe that the teachings and commandments of Christ(in the Bible) to be peacemakers and to be people rejoicing under persecution and false accusation are set right with the hatred and war of Islam?

Do you think the intention for translation of the Bible to bring all nations to understanding the Word of God is set right by the intention to have all, including the illiterate, to read and recite classical Arabic?

Do you think reciting/chanting Arabic brings peace?

Do you think terrorism and murder is loving your neighbors, your human brothers, and doing good to them, helping them to enter peace and enter heaven?

Christ shed His blood (perfect sacrifice to cover sin) so that you may be healed and have peace with God, and enter Heaven, and have everlasting life.

Do you want to shed blood so you may gain personal happiness?

Christians are sojourners on earth. The feast of Tabernacles/booths reminds us of that fact.

Why fight for/with your lives, land that does not belong to you for long? Buildings that do not belong to you? States and countries you do not own?

KUFA, Iraq (AP) July 20-2003 -- An influential Shiite Muslim cleric condemned Iraq's U.S-picked Governing Council as made up of "non-believers" and vowed to create a rival body, as his followers in a historic mosque shouted "Death to America."

Buddhist Monks Lead Attacks on Five Churches (Sri Lanka)

On the weekend of August 2-3, 2003, five separate churches in the

southern district of Galle, Sri Lanka were attacked by mobs led by

Buddhist monks. In Rathgama, ten monks attacked the Methodist Church,

burning the church pews and benches and beating two church workers. On

the same day, the pastor of the Assembly of God church in Thanamalwila

was assaulted by a group of Buddhist monks. Pastor Ranjith of the

Assembly of God church in Lunugamwhehra was also attacked by a mob led

by ten Buddhist priests that afternoon. His sister who tried to protect

him was also beaten. That same weekend, homes of Christians in Ganemulla

were vandalized and a mob led by Buddhist monks attacked the Calvary

Church in Hikkaduwa. The National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri

Lanka believes that it is very likely that this spate of organized

attacks is the beginning of an attempt to incite Buddhists against the

Christian community, creating an environment of religious disharmony

which in turn will be sited as a convincing platform to launch an

impending anti-conversion bill.
