What if the R C Pope is . . . ?
In the past many Christians have regarded the Roman Catholic Pope as the Beast, the Anti-Christ.
Our up-to-date view/information is that he is the False Prophet of the Anti-Christ whose number is 666.
This False Prophet Rev.13vv13,14(another beast that had 2 horns like a lamb and spoke as a dragon. Rev.13v11)will straighten the way (the World stage)for the Anti-Christ to show himself to be the meshiah of Israel and mankind.
How can this possibly be achieved by an old man?
The Pope needs to perform some miracle as a competition with all World religion, including Islam, to prove that he is undisputable the prophet of God, he operates the truth and the true religion of God, and the Christ he points to is the Christ indeed. (Rev.13vv13,14)
So, it is not a matter of age or physical strength. It is a matter of spiritual power.
What if the Roman Catholic Church is right?
From what standpoint?
From what scripture is it allegedly right?
The Holy Scriptures do not start with "What if?" They start with the truth. They need not prove their truth.
This "what if" is alien to scriptures in the first instance.
Why should we avoid answering the question of "What if the Biblical Faith that upholds the Word of God fully is right?" ?
When are we leaving the tradition of men before judging principles of God?
What if the Pope is right?
When is a person right? Why not define this first?
You have failed to define the criteria first.
What are you trying to hide in the first place?
Being right by being so very wrong?
The Bible tells us that having one World (like the time of Babel tower)is not the same as having Godly Peace, even just Earthly Peace.
Having one common language, no matter whether its "Greed" or "English" for commerce and communication is not necessarily good. Arrogance and false hope also increase.
What if the Pope can send fire down from the sky?
According to the Bible, the Prophet Elijah had successfully asked heaven to send down fire as a proof of his authority, power and the truth. I would expect the "False Prophet" to immitate this act of Elijah, posing as Elijah, and somehow get fire to come down from heaven, or perform miracle of immense magnitude to convince people that he indeed possess the truth.
There is nothing new about this trick.
Systems like the ICBM and Star War lasers can bring fire down from heaven at the pressing of buttons. Who knows the control behind such power?
The Bible also tells us that miracles are not to be used as proof of truth and godliness.
We are to walk by principles, and not by sight.
And I know that many have been conditioned to hold a kind of simple faith as not to question many things deeply and seriously. (At least not serious enough according to the whole of scriptures) Many will claim to be satisfied with what they have seen.
According to scriptures, the beast will perform great act/signs, even sending fire down from heaven(Rev.13vv13,14).
What if the Pope has the truth?
By what means are his followers going to judge this?
The truth is not an artifact like a sword, that people could hold in their hands and claim possession of it. It is not passed around.
The righteous shall be justified by faith. From the beginning the RC doctrine and that of the Popes have shown to be opposing scriptures. They have been Anti-Christs from the beginning.
Judge the tree by its fruits.
What if the Pope could bring about World Peace?
When is World Peace actually World Peace?
How long should it last before we are satisfied that it is really World Peace?
By what signs?
Achieving World Peace is not a sign of holiness. Being separated from Worldliness is. You do not achieve such separation by dressing up in Anti-scriptural gowns, or even holding the broken cross, or having occultic symbols.
What can an old man do, if he is not of God?
A lot.
Why assume that any person could not do a lot just because he is not of God?
The Bible clearly tells us that at their appointed time, evil-doers can achieve a lot. No Big Deal!
What can Hitler do by being vegetarian?
What can sin do being freshly commited? It kills!
